About
It began with a simple question: why do we keep the things that mean most to us in things that mean nothing?
A good pair of glasses in a soft plastic shell. A fountain pen in a drawer. A watch in the box it was sold in.
VEERN makes the other half of those things: the place they rest, and the case that protects them. We work with one material, a few precise details, and workshops that share our patience.
Designed in Copenhagen.
One material
Every object begins as a single block of metal. What can be made from one piece is made from one piece.
Few details
A wave in the lid. A band of leather where the hand opens. A hinge you don’t see. Nothing more is needed.
Made to stay
Surfaces that grow more beautiful with time. Parts that can be replaced, instead of the whole. Objects meant to be passed on.
The mark
Two lines, one above the other. Tone on tone.
It appears on every object, milled into the metal, tone on tone. Inside the lid, pressed into the suede, without colour.
Carry less. Keep it well.
We write rarely, and only when there is something new to show.
